    I personally have found that after using this captcha comments plugin I have dramatically limited the number of spam comments I get. I think I've only found one in moderation (obviously I still use Akisimet and Spam karma 2) with it but it works very well.

    Originally I was using Bad Behavior but have removed it and things have been great. So, now it's just the comments plugin, Akismet and Spam Karma2.

    Akismet works well enough for me... someday perhaps I'll try using something more hefty, revive hashcash, etc ;)
