It's not 100% perfect, that's why I keep moderation on. But you're right. It's absolutely awesome. It was about 50,000 on my last installation and I recently (about two weeks ago) I installed the newest wordpress from scratch (it reset the counter). Now it's back up to 502.

I think it misses about 5 or 6 every week or so. But it's so absolutely awesome.

Akismet is great... besides when it goes down. Then you're hit with a nasty surprise that is hundreds of spam comments to moderate.

But that's the problem with any service which relies on a remote server, I guess.
