Welcome to your german overlords - 1und1 is a german company. ;-)

We now suck at building cars - but we are excellent at hosting stuff. Rented servers are incredibly cheap here in Germany.

I am only paying 39 Euro for 300 GB traffic and 80 Gbyte webspace on Suse.

NICE! Of course, the euro is a little stronger. According to Google, 39 Euros = 46.5855 U.S. dollars, which is 4.66 times what I'm paying now. But, since your site is all images, I'm sure you need it. I put up my own anti-hotlinking script to thwart bandwidth stealers, but it's never enough...

I have been using 1and1 for about 2 years and I really like their value for my money. I run about 4 websites through them. Their databases do take about 10-30 minutes and email based tech questions can take forever (once it took several weeks). But overall I like them better than GoDaddy which is the other big shop here in the USA market.
